Just a quick update on the Capital Outlay bill that was passed by the Legislature while in Special Session earlier this month.
I reported that I was able to secure funds for many projects in my District and throughout Dona Ana County. I pleased to report that Governor Susana Martinez signed the Capital Outlay bill yesterday in Las Cruces. She did not line item veto any of the projects in District 52 and only one in Dona Ana County. I was honored to attend the bill signing ceremony with Senator Papen, Representative Nunez, Representative Gomez and other Legislators from Southern New Mexico.
Now let’s get those funds down here and put people to work. Thank you for all your kind words and support.
