I am proud and honored to announce that my House of Representatives Democrat colleagues elected me to serve as the Majority Whip.
One of the reasons I wanted to serve in this position was to bring a voice of Southern New Mexico to the House Leadership team. There has not been a member from Southern New Mexico in House Leadership for a number of years but that was corrected today.
I am grateful to my constituents of District 52 for electing me in the first place and for my colleagues for their support.
I look forward to working hard the next two years in this new leadership role.
